Blessed Nyakundi is an Associate in the Firm’s Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) and Intellectual Property (IP) Practice. She advises clients on a broad range of matters including intellectual property protection, technology and media regulation, data protection and privacy compliance, competition law, legal and regulatory audits and corporate governance matters.

Blessed applies a strong grasp of Kenya’s regulatory environment to provide practical, business-focused solutions that help clients operate confidently in the fast-evolving TMT landscape. She is a dedicated and dynamic Advocate with experience evaluating complex legal issues and securing appropriate remedies for clients.

• Provided comprehensive advisory services and coordinated the registration and protection of intellectual property assets including trademarks, copyrights, patents, industrial designs ensuring effective protection of clients’ innovations.
• Supported in drafting and negotiating various IP-focused and Telecom commercial agreements.
• Advised clients on the regulatory and licensing procedures before the Communications Authority of Kenya.
• Supported in the representation of clients before the Competition Authority of Kenya and the COMESA Competition Tribunal.
• Assisted in managing data breach incidents and ensuring compliance with statutory obligations.
• Obtained CA licences and approvals for telecommunications clients, ensuring full compliance.
• Prepared and reviewed data protection policies, notices and incident response plans to enhance client compliance and operational preparedness.
• Contributed to multi-jurisdictional due diligence exercise in support of an M&A transaction.
• Supported in the development of an Investment Policy and six (6) By-laws for 2 Counties.
